EBFI ORGANIC FOOD PROGRAM
As a mitigation measure to the food crisis in Zambia, EBFI has developed an agricultural program to grow commercial sustainable organic foods. Zambia is a very large and fertile country with millions of hectares of land unproductive in the agricultural sector. The country's commercial sector has slowed down while the local use has seen an increase- this is due to the need for carbon, commonly used as fuel for cooking because the African people have no other means for energy. The resulting deforestation has left an unbelievable amount of baron land mass unproductive.
